BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE is a bag brand that embodies the concept of “A Piece of Cloth,”which is at the core of the monozukuri (the art of making things) of ISSEY MIYAKE.Made from triangle-shaped pieces, these bags change from flat to three- dimensional objects when used. Their form keeps on shifting in unpredictable ways, providing never-ending beauty, fun, and surprise to their users.
The special FACE bags are introduced at this exhibit.The bags in this series, which are based on the motif of the human face, use the regular triangular pieces in combination with new geometrically shaped pieces. When items are placed in these bags, their form shifts to produce facial expressions that change in unpredictable ways and are fun to watch.We invite you to enjoy the world of FACE brought to you by BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE.
