Unique, attractive and functional—the pleasure of good design

The umbrella that brightens rainy days by giving you your own blue sky
is one of the items that symbolizes the MoMA Design Store.
Such design classics are joined by new designs
such as stylish digital audio devices and LED lights in unique forms.
Altogether, some 2000 different products from around the world,
each notable for their good design,
are presented in a setting reminiscent of the white cube of an art museum.
The lineup includes original goods produced in collaboration with artists
such as Yayoi Kusama and Yoshitomo Nara,
and also Japanese tableware and crafts meticulously produced by Japanese artisans.
Each of the products selected has been assessed against design filters for criteria
such as function and innovation, and then evaluated by MoMA curators.
As a result, the MoMA Design Store enables you to affirm the potential of design
based on unconstrained thinking to enrich and enliven.
